NARRATOR:
Bulgaria is famous for its roses. Many roses grow in a place called Rose Valley. People work hard to grow roses and make rose oil.
Rose oil is very special. It is used in perfume, skin cream and medicine. Most of the world’s rose oil comes from this valley. Growing roses is very important for local people here. They have done this for over 300 years.
Every year, after months of work, there is a big rose festival. People celebrate the rose harvest. During the festival, people wear nice clothes and dance. Tourists come from many countries to see the festival.

The festival is very good for tourism. It brings more money to the area. In the morning, people pick roses to make flower crowns. They carry big baskets of rose petals. Later, women throw petals to the tourists in the street. The festival is a happy time. Everyone comes together to enjoy the roses.
