UPSOUND:
“Go, go, go, go, go, go! Yeah!”
NARRATOR:
The Premier League club has organised a festival to inspire young girls to play football.
SOUNDBITE - Ledley King:
“I fell in love with football at a very young age. That kept me out of a lot of potential trouble. That is out and around, you know, when kids are bored. My confidence grew from that and I'm sure today we'll see a lot of them take the confidence to higher levels.”

UPSOUND:
“Get through it, get through it!”
SOUNDBITE - Abbie Brunker:
“We've invited a lot of schools into our session just to give girls the taste of football. A lot of girls play football, but so many don't get the opportunity to play, so it's more just recognising that they can come in and play and hopefully inspire them to carry on playing when they leave.”
UPSOUND:
“I'm helping you out. Well done, get through it.”
SOUNDBITE - Abbie Brunker:
“It's lovely seeing so many girls enjoy what they're doing. Some have never touched a football before so seeing their faces light up and say they enjoy it, it’s really nice to hear.”
SOUNDBITE - Ching-Hang Chun:
“The girls all here today, they're five to seven years old right? They're at the start of their football journey and hope is to give them that positive experience that they'll bring with them for life and they'll hopefully, you know, as they grow up they'll remember this day.”
